- Hello Again,
-
- It seems that you understand a sum of the total.
-
- There are actually several problems here that are
- far beyond what we can talk about here that relate
- to both technology and business. The technology is
- unique to the Amiga market. Nothing like it exisits.
-
- How can I say that? The Gecko is a spin off from the
- PAWS development. It possess the ability to drive
- an LCD panel as well as a VGA display. No one, in
- the Amiga market has a product like it.
-
- The answer to what we are supporting is beyond simple
- SECAM, NTSC, and VGA. and what do you mean, users
- configuring this device? Its external not internal.
- Do you mean having a small potentiometer (sorry about
- the spelling) to adjust the device?
-
- The obvious answer to will someone utilize a dinky 13"
- monitor with the Gecko is probably no. Most users who
- want increased performance and high level graphics are
- adding to their computers monitors which are generally
- 17" or greater. Some flat screen 15" monitors are nice too.
-
- If you are utilizing a Amiga tucked away on campus with
- very little room and don't seem to have the cash now. All
- I can say is save up : )
-
- Hopefully we will be around if you ever want a unit. As
- for costs of the unit I would say, without being crass, that
- there is a difference in what you know and what reality is.
- In the real world building peripherals for a narrow market
- is extremely difficult. If you cannot understand that from
- a business perspective then we will have to agree to disagree.
-
- Cheers
-
- Shawn
